"One of the Best Wine Tours I've Taken!"

This was a great wine tour, door to door pick up and drop off, great driver Graham who shared lots of information while driving to locations. The lunch was excellent and as a Vegetarian I was given food I could eat. The wineries and wine were great and the tastings were very generous. Well worth every penny!

"Great day also for solo travelers"

It was a wonderful day! The wine was excellent, the food was delicious, and the tour guide was simply fantastic. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys tasting fine wines and trying dishes prepared in old wine barrels.

Thanks to the small group size, the tour is also ideal for solo travelers—and the wine certainly helps, too ;)

"Incredible Bespoke Wine Tour with an amazing guide"

We had the most wonderful day on our custom wine tour and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide Paul! As a true local, he brought the region to life with his knowledge of its history and wine culture. He had lots of entertaining stories and tidbits about the region that really made the experience feel special and personal.

We had an amazing lunch at Mt Difficulty with a fantastic selection of wines (probably our favourite) and breathtaking views. Peregrine, Te Kano, and Amisfield were just as memorable with each offering beautiful settings and generous tastings.

"Delightful. Food + wine + cheese + good company!"

Highly recommend. Small group of 12 with good vibes and good company. Was a well paced day considering 4 wineries with multiple tasting at each. Lunch was a spectacular affair with 5 delicious dishes and paired wine with each. Would do again!

"Fantastic day exploring Pinot Noir in NZ"

I was unaware that I loved Pinot Noir! Thanks to Craig and his selection of several excellent wineries I am now a Pinot Noir fan and specifically a NZ Pinot Noir fan. A case is winging its was home as we speak!

"Best wine tour ever"

Highly recommend!! I couldn't recommend this tour more. Kate was lovely and amazing and so was everyone at all the wineries. The food was amazing and everyone on our tour was lovely. I have been to 4 wine tours before and this was by far the best.

"Great Wine Tour & lunch. Just book it."

This tour was worth the money. Full day of 4 wineries, great meal at The Stoker Room, and stop in Arrowtown. Pinot Noir big in this wine region. Donna, our tour guide, did a good job. Nice having a driver so we could enjoy the wine. NZ has a low blood ETOH level.

"Amazing wine tour with stunning views"

An amazing tour from start to finish. The wineries, wine, cheese and cave tour were all excellent, but the scenery truly stole the show — nothing lives up to those views around Queenstown. Our guide was great and the whole day was relaxed and well organised. Highly recommend, it was an unforgettable experience.

"Great Wine Tour Experience"

The wine tour experience was great; our driver was very friendly and accommodating for last minute changes on our end. The vineyards were fun - great sample of Central Otago wines.

"Excellent indulgent tour"

Our driver guide John, was absolutely brilliant. He chatted whilst we were driving from one location to the next. Always interesting and able to answer questions. The stops for wine tasting were excellent and well planned. The meal at the Stoker was plentiful with 5 foods and matching paired wines. Overall I think we all rather overindulged. On the way back to Queenstown we stopped at Arrowtown which was quaint. 5* rating – especially for John

 Verified Happy days We are loving our visit to Queenstown and this winery tour was a fantastic way to spend the day. Apart from the wine, you got to see the countryside and get a fabulous run-down from guide John. We got picked up and dropped off at our hotel and the group of participants was small and fun. The wine servings were very generous, and the lunch was very tasty. I would highly recommend this tour.

 Verified Excellent tour I am very impressed with Appellation tours. From the first time I enquired about a private tour with Jade to the end result they were very professional and efficient. Phil was our driver and host for our tour, and he was excellent, very informative, very knowledgeable and he really made our tour enjoyable.  Verified Queenstown 6 hour Boutique Wine Tour Beautiful afternoon driving through three different wine regions and visiting four boutique wineries. The scenery was breathtaking the entire way, the wines were delicious, and the people on the tour were fantastic. It was also really easy to order bottles and have them shipped home. Highly recommend this tour — it was the perfect, fabulous ending in New Zealand!

 Verified If it rains. Drink Wine! It was pouring like Crazy which made the next day’s Milford Sounds tour spectacular but we found a way to still enjoy Queenstown and not get wet by going on this amazing wine tour. It totally changed our perspective on what Sauvignon Blanca (which i never used to drink) and Pinot Noirs could be. Special mention to Kinross Winery and Carrick Winery for their spectacular wines and views. Also not to forget our very entertaining guide Martin.

 Verified Awesome wine tour! Awesome private wine tour experience with Lindsay! We got picked up directly from our accommodation and chauffeured to three unique tasting experiences. The first was the most elaborate in a private room showcasing the highest quality wines in the area. Then we were treated next door to a lunch of charcuterie and fries, followed by a much more public and casual cave tasting. Finally we finished off with a relaxed wine tasting at Monte Christo. Would have to say our driver, Lindsay, was the highlight of our trip! We loved spending time with him and learning about his experiences. Would highly recommend the tour :)

 Verified Another exceptional experience - the only way to go Exceptional. Tops every alternate wine tour option from Queenstown that we have done. Marten was an amazing guide and companion again this year. Have next year's mapped out already. Private tastings and Lunch with an Appellation Private Tour is the only way to go.

 Verified Fab day at the wineries Phil was a fab guide and driver, he adapted to our groups vibe and facilitated a great day. The wineries were all in beautiful locations and generous with the tastings. Booking was really easy and the reservations team were really accommodating to our groups requests.
