Central Otago Wine Tours Departing Queenstown

The Central Otago wine region spreads from the outskirts of Queenstown’s Wakatipu Basin through picturesque valleys and dramatic gorges to the rolling vine-clad foothills of Bannockburn and beyond. Our wine tours take you from Queenstown to the Gibbston Valley and through to Bannockburn and Cromwell, the heart of the Central Otago wine country.

The Boutique (5.5 hours) and the Gourmet Scenic (7 hours) wine tours run daily with a maximum of 12 guests to ensure a great day out exploring Central Otago scenic wine country.

The Scenic Sights tour (3 hours) and Classic Wine Tour (4 hours) can take larger numbers of up to 22 guests per tour. Please contact us directly if you would prefer a smaller group and we can let you know what we can offer.

Full Day – Gourmet Scenic Wine Tour

9.30am to 4.30pm (7 hours)

A relaxed day of fine cuisine and good company, sampling local cheeses, chocolates and tasting premium cool-climate wines in one of the world’s great Pinot Noir wine regions.

    Half Day – Boutique Wine Tour


    11.00am to 4.30pm (5.5 hours)

    Immerse yourself among the boutique vineyards and spectacular scenery of Central Otago on our 5 1/2 hour Boutique Wine Tour, sampling wine from two different wine sub-regions with lunch included.

    Note: Some wineries are producing amazing craft beers as well! If there is someone coming along who would prefer beer, please let us know and we can try to acommodate.

      Afternoon – Classic Wine Tour 

      1pm to 5pm (4 hours)

       If you are short on time but still want to experience the best of the region, this tour is for you. Join our afternoon tour and sample wines from both Gibbston and Bannockburn, while staying in the Gibbston region. Enjoy a full running commentary from our local, expert wine guides where the more questions the merrier! 

      Sample wines from both the Gibbston and Bannockburn wine sub-regions on this fun and interactive afternoon tour. Enjoy tastings at 3 varying wineries, take a guided tour through New Zelanad’s largest wine cave and take time to sit and relax with a glass of wine of your choice and a cheese platter.

      • Visit 3 wineries around Queenstown and the Gibbston wine region

        Morning – Scenic Sights Tour 

        9am – 12pm (3 hours & no wine involved)
        NZD $115 per adult
        NZD $79 per child

        Be “wowed” on this guided morning sightseeing tour with panoramic views from Queenstown, to Skippers Canyon lookout, and through to Arrowtown. Visit both the hidden and local “must-see” attractions of the area. Either return to Queenstown, or make your own way back at your leisure. If you would like to book lunch at Amisfield winery, we can drop you there! Group size will vary. Check with us if you prefer smaller groups.

        For the ultimate FULL-DAY combo, stay in Arrowtown for lunch, we will pick you up at 1.15pm and take you out for an afternoon of wine-tasting (Classic Wine Tour) and return to Queenstown at 5pm.  

        Children of all ages are welcome to join this tour.

          Be wowed on this morning tour by the panoramic views from Queenstown to Skippers Canyon lookout through to Arrowtown. You will visit the local “must-sees”.  Stay in Arrowtown for lunch, and we will pick you up at 1.30pm and take you out for an afternoon of wine-tasting.  Group size will vary from 2 to 22 people.
